The default one depends on the content type. For episode it is thumb. For tv-show/movies it is landscape/fanart. Unfortunately there is no way to change this as it is a globally used variable.

No problem, thanks 🙂 However, I had an episode with no art just now and the image showed up empty (just an empty rectangle)? It didn’t revert back to the thumb of the show.

@beatmasterrs FYI, All "Home menu style" with "Multi-Widgets" possibility seems use lot of CPU without valuble reasons at the starting of kodi.

test platform : Nvidia Shield Pro 2019 and PC
I could see the same result on both (But my PC is too power), the side effect is much visible on Nvidia Shield.

1 - I have activated KODI Debug to see CPU usage.
2 - I have tested all "Home menu style" without "Multi-Widgets" and the skin Estuary to have a reference
3 - I have tested all "Home menu style" with "Multi-Widgets"
4 - I have tested a "Home menu style" with "Multi-Widgets" with the minimal options and minimal informations to display

Conclusion :

with all "Home menu style" without "Multi-Widgets" or with Estuary

When you start kodi KODI CPU usage is approximately between 70% and 85 %.
All is smooth and you can launch a movie without Stutter

with all "Home menu style" with "Multi-Widgets"

When you start kodi , KODI CPU usage is approximately between 200% and 300 %.
With the minimal options and minimal informations to display and without any playlist, KODI CPU usage is the same between 200% and 300 %..
Use of the cpu is for 2 minutes at this level.
During these 2 minutes the navigation lag and if you launch a movie this one stutter.

At this point the solution is simple. Not use "Home menu style" with "Multi-Widgets" or launch Kodi and wait.
To be clear I ask nothing, It just for your information. Smile

@beatmasterrs with the "Home Menu Style" => "Vertical" all are slightly obscured by default. then the color come back normal when you navigate on poster.

If I right it is the only "Home Menu Style" with this effect. Is it possible to delete this effect ?  Smile

At startup

Then if you navigate

Should be possible. @semool has done a PR with an option to disable the fade effect, but I don't know, if this also effects the vertical homemenu. I will take a look at this, when I'm back from work Smile

Thanks for testing and your feedback. I think this could be related to the number of widgets and their content, item limit. Are you using exactly the same widgets (number/content) as in estuary?

What, if you set your skin shortcuts config to default? So that the ssc widgets only using db/local content?
Has estuary a widget item limit?

All are similare between Estuary and AZR

I have make a new test with all default widget and all default settings in "home menu" :
1 - Kodi stop
2 - file "addons\skin.arctic.zephyr.mod\1080i\script-skinshortcuts-includes.xml" deleted
3 - folder "userdata\addon_data\script.skinshortcuts\" deleted
4 - Kodi start

Same conclusion.

Don't worry. I will make more research on my side.
Thanks

Edit : perhaps can you point me if there is a commun file xml in .../1080i/  specific  at all "Home menu style" with "Multi-Widgets". thanks  Smile

2 - The DialogVideoInfo extended infos is Better indeed. thanks. +1 to add this for "no information available under the "movie title" and the audio label which can also be without information. Angel

All go in a good way.
can i ask you, you are a bit undecided for which part ?

PS : I have tested "prefer-local-info-testing" too. I know it is not finish I guess. It works perfectly for "Same director". Thank you very much Smile

Movement
The problem with "movement" is that I can't make that available to all views, because then it either causes weird behavior, or the unsightly "plop" out effect is more visible. An example is view 510, where the focused item is moved further to the right than in view 521, which makes the effect more noticeable. Thus, this would not be implemented consistently if it is present in some views and not in others. The same for all other lists, like actors. Maybe a solution will be found soon, we will see Smile

Extended Infos
I like this especially because it makes the skin cleaner. But if the tagline is missing sometimes, it doesn't look nice, I think. The Audio-info issue is fixed, thx for reporting Smile

FYI, The audio info seems not fixed. Tested with master of today.

Maybe a look at the Debug Log first would be more useful than a look at XMl files? Smile

For "modern multi widgets", the entry point is here: https://github.com/beatmasterRS/skin.arc...5651-L5702
For "vertical multi widgets", the entry point is here: https://github.com/beatmasterRS/skin.arc...4732-L5042

Unfortunately not yet. If you want to see what changes are pending or in progress, you can do that on github by looking at the branches:

Image

You can also test the individual branches by selecting the branch and then clicking "Download" "Code" -> "Download Zip" and installing the zip file. These branches are test-versions, that can contain lots of bugs.
If you look at the open or closed/merged PR's, you will also see what is currently going on.
Note: you will no longer get automatic updates via the repo, if you install this skin from a zip file. This is new in Kodi 19. If you want to get automatic updates (again), you must install this skin again from the repo. Smile
