Is thr trailer pulled from YouTube for local files? If so, as said this gives a play back error in home screen widgets. TMDBhelper widgets are working fine with trailers..

It using PlayMedia for playing trailers, so Kodi itself managing how to play it. If I'm not wrong, it should play local files if found in other case, it should try to play it from youtube. Maybe I will try to to do it with tmdb helper/embuary helper.
With embuary helper, problem is that, it plays fullscreen, so I have to do something to make it playing in background. I will try other "backend" to play trailers and see if there will be playback error still.

Hi, thanks for looking into this. Seeing automatic trailers for local library as well is more than welcome Smile

Looking forward to your new updates Big Grin
Hey!
Just made some changes to trailer's playback in Flix View. If you want to test it, please download this zip: https://github.com/nfm886/skin.arctic.ze...x-view.zip
I think some issues should be resolved Wink

Works great , I thought I might have had to link my YT account with api etc to get the trailers , but all working without thanks. Am using TMDB helper. One thing , found one movie amongst the few I tested that didn't appear to have a trailer so am left with a blank fanart screen am wondering maybe some default image can be used to cover for this eventuality or maybe if the selected movie/show fanart can show as normal as soon as the widget is highlighted then you wont get the blank screen until the trailer starts?
Thanks for this , the auto trailer option gives the skin a really professional look.

Yes, I'm planning to do this but first wanted to sort out stuff like playing trailers. When it will be done I will fix the other issues Wink
Also I'm planning to add new look for movies list and hope it will fit better with Flix View Smile

This is great pal! Much better now.

Still couple of issues I have noticed.

1. My local files wont play trailers on flix view.. I see a black screen and seems it want to start but than it is showing again fanart.

2. There is some delay in played trailer. If I hover over a movie sometimes it seems it is showing a different trailer than the movie I am highliting. Perhaps this is due to previous highlited movie but decided not to wait for the trailer to play before skipping to next file?

3. Also very strange in Prime Video widget. If I am highliting movie X it wint play a trailer. If I am moving to Movie B, suddenly I see trailer of Movie X. Seems to relate to the issue in point 2?

Are you still considering an option to trigger manually a trailer?

Cheers

I'm still struggling with some issues and need to got idea how to deal with it. So please be patient Wink
I will try to configure Prime Video widget to test locally. But it might be related to point 2.

You are brilliant! First skin I am seeing which is playing that quick on home screen!

Hope you will tackle the issues.

Thanks for the quick support and replies buddy.

Edit: I noticed that trailers are not immediately terminated/ended and wheel keeps spinning.. once ended the next trailer is able to start. So would be great to check whether a trailer can be forced to stop immediately once moving to next movie.

Edit 2: Apologies local library trailers are working now. Seems I was using Composite addon instead of kodi library integration. No issue now. My bad!!

Keeps only the issue from Point 2 & 3.

Hope my feedback will help Smile

::::: UPDATE ::::: 10/7
WORKED IT OUT, NOT BROKEN. Sort by title... not by name. sorting by title works fixing the issue. so nothing needs changing here.

Sort by name not working are all over the place in added widgets now. it use to be default where anything added if these fields where blank was alphabetical a to z, now it looks maybe date file created i have no idea, but even selecting the order doesn't work as seen in the attached photos

Hey again,

This skin is making great progress and it's really cool to see.

The other day when watching something I noticed a small button on the video OSD (I'm not sure if it's from the skin, or from Kodi 19.1 itself) that allows me to open a small info box that shows information about the video file that's being played. Resolution, etc. Unfortunately I can't take a screenshot on my device so if you're unsure what button I mean I can take a photo for you.

I was wondering if it would be possible to make it so that this button also shows the bitrate of the video? It's interesting to see the resolution, sure, but I think it's more important to see the bitrate. As I said, I'm not sure if the button is included in Kodi 19.1 by default, or if it's from the skin, so maybe you don't have the possibility to change it.

Thanks Heppen, great great work!

That is the playerprocessinfo button. Show currently all possible infos. When you want little bit more, just use keymap editor, map one button of your remote to  player debug info.

Or you can mod yourself the skin , to have playerdebug button in video osd buttons.
Search Includes_OSD.xml file (located in Kodi\addons\skin.arctic.zephyr.2.resurrection.mod\1080i ) Copy  this lines under line 387 and save the xml.

Thanks for explaining. I tried editing the skin as you mentioned but it didn't quite work for me I don't think, so I will have another look later on.

Maybe if I'm lucky Heppen could make it an option to enable the video debug button or not, otherwise I'd have to put the code in after every update right?

Fingers crossed!

I'm still running 18.8 on my primary device. My holdup on updating to 19 was originally AZ2 not being available, and then it became "I don't want to spend all day reconfiguring the skin from scratch". Is there any way to migrate my config to this mod? I'm not very familiar with kodi skins, but I imagine I can copy a folder over and cross my fingers...?

Hard to say. Most of the code is rewritten so copying the folder probably won't works. To be honest, chances of that update will success are very low. You may be welcome with error about unsatisfied dependencies...
Just organize some free time and make a fresh install Smile

In response to this answer, I say "Thanks, I hate it". But I'll suck it up. That's kind of what I expected.

In response to this skin, I say "Thanks a ton, and I can't wait to give it a try... some day...!"
