i just updated from github and now whenever i get the information screen i am told there is an addon required



i do not use embuary helper and this message was never there before i updated today.... what new feature in the info dialogue requires the addon? and what setting do i need to change so this message doesn't show? any idea?

@billyrene , that is odd.  While I use embuary helper for several things in the info dialog, I do so only if enabled in the skin settings, so if you do not use the addon or even have it in your system, you should not be getting that popup.  Is this matrix or Leia? I just tested in Matrix without having Embuary Helper in my system and I do not get that popup when I go to the info dialog of an episode or movie or tv show.

i am on matrix 19.1 on android tv. and like i said it just started yesterday after i updated from github. did not change any settings or anything. before that my last amber update was about a month ago. thank you

@billyrene, please PM me your settings.xml file so I can take a look at the combination of skin settings that you have and see if I can reproduce the issue.  The file is in <userdata>/addon_data/skin.amber/

Hello all,

I have uploaded versions 3.4.26 (Matrix) and 3.2.146 (Leia) to GitHub and the Amber repos.  The main changes are:

1.  Option to Hide Vertical Menu when Shelves are Focused.  When this new setting is set to Yes, the vertical menu will hide when you focus the shelves.  You can find the new setting here:



And it can look like this:



2.  Option to use custom image (or images), video or playlist at startup.  There is a new setting in the Advanced section of the Amber settings that allows you to set a custom image, folder of images, video or playlist to be shown on Kodi startup.  I explain the use in the following post: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid3051584.

By default, even if you have a custom image or intro video shown on startup, the Kodi splash screen is shown briefly.  You can avoid that by including <splash>false</splash> in your advancedsettings.xml file (thanks @bobrap for that tip).

3.  Show video info dialog from the fanart title button.  With this new setting set to Yes, Amber will open the video info dialog for the movie or tv show whose title is being shown in the home window.  I explain the use in the following post: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid3050781.

@bsoriano just wanted to let you know, that there is may be an issue, when switching to a different profile. And it seems, that the delay in startup.xml is causing this. The issue, that @Tired Dad mentioned:

So i think it's possble, that the issue also exists in your skin, scince you are using the same method in startup.xml for showing background image for a few seconds (https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=363710). I am just trying out Amber for Matrix, on Matrix but I can't get Skin Helper Service, SHS Widgets, or Library Data Provider to work. I downloaded them from Marcel's repo, but no luck so far. Can you tell me what I may be doing wrong?
