Vu+ PVR addon is getting updates again
Okay, had some Time for testing Nexus on my FireTV Cube Again Smile Installed Nightly (kodi-20220217-3ee2707d-master-24444-armeabi-v7a.apk) cleared data+cache. Kodi starts up with r/w access to my FireTV. Done some Addon updates and head right over to install pvr.vuplus. Done the config - only setup the IP + Username/PW. pvr.vuplus wants to restart, and bang back to the FireTV Mainscreen :/

Here is a Log for you. If you need more, tell me Smile

Here a bigger one... https://paste.kodi.tv/jawudewumi.kodi

When i use the SAME settings.xml on my Windows10 PC /w Nexus, it runs - strange. Must be a Android specific problem. Maybe Special chars?

And here is the output for the last accessed webpage https://paste.kodi.tv/bewoyopudi  -  **tp://192.168.2.40/web/epgservice?sRef=1%3A0%3A19%3A7C%3A6%3A85%3AFFFF0000%3A0%3A0%3A0%3A

If you have a fire tv cube you should be able to run ADB. Once you get a crash just run a backtrace.

I’m not too sure how ADB works, not an Android dev nor do I have any android devices. But users have been able to get a backtrace/crash log previously.

Ok, it definitely crashes out of pvr.vuplus. Unfortunately it does not point to the line number in source though, not quite sure how to get that info.

Can you try a testbuild from here and see if it makes any difference? https://jenkins.kodi.tv/blue/organizatio.../artifacts

I'm not sure if your Fire device is 32 or 64 bit. If it's 32 bit that might explain where you see the crash there but not on windows.

The FireTVCube does not run Kodi_x64... x32 is used Smile I will try your version and report back

Yes, cmake/addons/build/zips/pvr.vuplus+android-armv7/pvr.vuplus-20.2.0.zip works Smile

Ok. Cool. That version will eventually be the next release once I have time to finish it off and clean it up.

@phunkyfish

have you an update or workaround for compatibility of VU+ PVR Addon with Kodi Nexus, please.

I didn’t realise there was an error? Can you describe the problem?

Okay, used same hardware and network as before with Kodi-Matrix 19.4, when set the IP-address/Host-name and restart Kodi Nexus = Kodi crashed. After deleting the user_data folder "pvr.vuplus", Kodi Nexus starting again.

Enable debugging in Kodi and then restart it to reproduce the error(s). It'll give you a more detailed log file, which usually helps with troubleshooting.

You need to update your addons. Inputstream.ffmpegdirect for instance had the v19 version installed.

Done without success.

Next experiment was to set secure HTTP ->  Kodi Nexus starting again! after restart, but the PVR Manager gets no data: https://paste.kodi.tv/docoqoqoyu.kodi
BTW: Tried also with VU+ box restart.

The log is much cleaner this time but https does not work at all. Can you turn that off and supply another log?

Also, please go to PVR setting and clear all the data and then also clear just the guide data. Maybe your DB is corrupt.

Okay, clean debug after re-installation and complete new installation of Kodi Nexus with VU+ PVR Addon: https://paste.kodi.tv/tumiwigome.kodi
