@Bromios please don't post multiple times. Also if the developer could just "make some hacks" to solve the issue I think it would be done by now.

Some useful information would have been to supply details of your device, it may be possible but they don't know which device you have.

For two days now I've been trying to set the Netflix add-on to play 4k, but without success.
The video is always 1080p. I'm with KODI 19.4.
And the first time I installed the add-on, I managed to set it to 4k HDR.
I don't know what happened, but without touching any settings, it's already 1080p.

The subscription is Premium.

So since I upgraded to the new repo and Addon version my matrix system says that the background service is missing and I should reboot. I already did that twice.

Have a look at the log you provided via this link. You have one rogue repository installed (in orange) and a couple of addons that were installed from similar Banned Add-ons (wiki) repositories (again, highlighted in orange). You'll need to clean this up and resubmit a Debug Log before you can receive support on this forum as per our Forum Rules and piracy policy

Wasn't aware that the nc+ addon was from a bad source. Has been replaced by a proper HBOMax Plugin anyway.

Seems like it was just a broken version check in the addon.

When I watch Dolby Vision content, the system freezes until it the Google TV restarts. It is always about 15 to 20 minutes after I start the episode. It only happens with Dolby Vision.

This cannot be solved by the addon
you have to open an Issue on Github xbmc repository, and fullfill the "problem report" template
better if you provide also the file "kodi.old.log" content after the problem happens
because the linked log has nothing

Check your Widevine status with "DRM Info app", to see if it's L1 or L3. These tablets sometimes revert to L3...
