Sad
Hello,
Yesterday, I sat down to watch TV, and my PVR was missing half the channels. Tried a reset, then nothing. I tried everything i could think of to fix it, but nothing worked.
I gave up and reset everything. Wiped Kodi and started from scratch, Kodi Works, but Pseudo is Dead!
I can see it start up, I can see the Channels Rebuild, It can't find anything I have set up on YouTube, No Duration Media Found. The PVR shows a blank page with a time line, but nothing else.
It Is for want of a better word, Kanga Teds Brother, (You know Roo).
Is anyone else having problems or is it just me again?
Cheers All

ok, don't know what happened but restored an old backup from october last year to make kodi work again. Turned off Auto Updates so no one can stuff anything up on me, But now, all my Pseudo TV channels I had attached to YouTube are Gone.
The Channels won't populate, and if I try to add another channel with anything from YouTube  I see the Dreaded
"No Duration Media Found"
If I see that again Im going to go Fn Spare.
What the F is going on, has some DHead updated something again to make everyones life a misery?
Where are all the Experts, Why Does No one else have Problems, God hates me, thats what it is.

Ok then, i have deleted Kodi, Reinstalled Matrix instead of Nexus, and restored an Old complete backup from October last year, on startup quickly jumped into system and turned off Auto updates so no nasty things can bugger me up. However I had to change the Scrapers over, So I'm in the middle of a complete library rebuild. If I add the logos into cache, drop the playlists back in and drop the channel file in, then restart pseudo hopefully that will fix it.
I love wasting days on this.

There is no way that Pseudo will work now from a fresh build. Tried that 3 times now.

Do you still have the app data for the regular PseudoTV (not PseudoTV Live)

I used it in the past, however I've lost track of the app install and I found it was still the most flexible to set up out of any of the similar apps

Hi There Bad Sleep, thanks for the reply.

I thought i had lost all the app data, I have 4 machines all running Kodi with Pseudo TV and stupidily while I was fixing, I thought I had it and updated them all. Big Mistake. Stuffed every install.
I tried a compete Rebuild from scratch, but Pseudo just wont work on a new build at all.
To My Saving Grace last night at about 2am I found a USB stick I used to transfer Kodi last october. The media was well out of date, but at least it worked.
So a ReInstall of Kodi Matrix, Drop the backup over the top, TURN OFF AUTO UPDATE, Update the Library and With a few glitches here and there all is working.
I like to keep everything up to date, but it seems just one tiny component of Kodi gets an update and it can throw Pseudo into absolute Kaos.
 Thanks Again

Finally, I Have eveything working again, from a November backup last year.
I am running Matrix again and heaps of things want to update.
I tried to update to Nexus, that wanted to update ipt client that buggered iptv simple client and everything was buggered.

I find it weird that no one else is having problems after the last updates. IPTV 20.8.1 will not work with pseudo but not one mention of it.

I gave up on ptvl, it's more or less experimental.

Instead I just downgraded to Leia so I could use the fnord version which doesn't need any PVR client or anything.

I found the fnord version to be very refined with a bunch of advanced options and a decent readme explaining everything, stark contrast to the ptvl experience.

Also there have been no unexpected issues or crashes with the fnord version..

If you're going to continue with ptvl, you should copy your Kodi appdata folder and name it Kodi2 or something for when it happens again. I had been doing this when I was using ptvl and it solved a good number of issues.

I would avoid it if possible though, there seems to be a lot of caching and compatibility issues involving the live version, I wouldn't call it a stable release

Yeah, I get ya, I have PTVL running on 5 Different Machines all through the house. Plus I do keep a backup on the server now, just in case i stuff everything up. I love the software and concept.
Perhaps I should look at the old version as well. I have the whole system running back again on Matrix with updates switched off. Jst waiting for Lunatix to tell me he's done some updates before I try to change everything again.
Cheers
