Hi. I am running an old version of Kodi. 18.9. This is because it seems to be the last version of where the addon, i use more than any other, namely super favourites works.
But among the other addons I have is the internet archive video addon. Now that works fine if you go to "movies" for example and try playing a movie. But running the search option just bring up "next page". Well for instance I know there is a "Nightmare Castle" on Archive. But if you type "Nightmare Castle" into the search option, all I get is "next page." I was wondering if the search option works on later versions. Although if it does, I probably won't use it, if it's a choice between that and being able to use Super Favourites.
Now I did try running more recent of Kodi, after uninstalling the 18.9 version. But none of them ran for me.
I guess it was i did not uninstall the profile folder of 18.9
Okay. So thinking more the super favourites addon. Years ago I did try to upgrade to a higher version of Kodi.

So I am guessing that would have way after the 18.9 version.
So i think what might have happened before was that i was able to run super favourites. But the menu didn;t show the stuff i would have added to it.
So is there a way of upgrading Kodi and keeping information from the 18.9 version that i would have put in.
Update.
So i uninstalled Kodi 18.9 again. This time i uninstalled the folder at app data/ kodi. But first I made a copy of it to another folder. Then I installed the latest version of kodi. I see Super Favourites can still be used there. Some of the folders I created were there. But not the contents of the folders.
So the next thing I did was go to the old profile folder of kodi 18.9. Go to Plugin Program Super Favourites. I then copied the contents of "Plugin Program Super Favourites" of version 18.9 over the same folder in the current version of Kodi. But it made no difference. Within Kodi program and super favourites, I can see folders i created but not the contents of those folders.
So after all that, is there any way for me to keep the current version of kodi, but also be able to display from within the super favourites program, all the content i had in version 18.9
