Release Retrospect v5.5.x Video Add-On
Hi!

It just says error retrieving list etc ... when I try to start TV4 after the update.

I'm running LibreElec version 9.2.8 and Kodi 18.9 (Leia), on a Raspberry 2. It can't be updated any more from the built-in update functions.

On the GitHub Page for this TV4 issue it says "used version" is LibreElec (Nexus) 11.0.3. Is it the required version from now on?
If my LibreElec version is the problem, would you (or anyone) happen to know if it is possible to update my Raspberry ver 2.
This link seems to suggest a manual update is possible even for Raspberry 2? I guess I would have to reinstall everything on it then. Would that suffice so that it will be possible for me to view TV4 from Retrospect again?

There is also an option in Retrospect to "install Widevide using Input stream helper", on your own risk...
Is that what I need to do? (I have already updated the WideVine component, but not from this setting within Retrospect.)

Wondering if retrospect npostart has an alphabetic list of programs. If I remember right it had it in the past? Included image is my npo list now on a fresh installed libreelec kodi install with latest retrospect. Thanks in advance

If the others play fine, then I guess that stream is not right. Please post a full debug retrospect.log (https://github.com/retrospect-addon/plug...ki/Logging) on https://paste.kodi.tv/ so I can see what is happening.

I see now. Can you create an issue for this here: https://github.com/retrospect-addon/plug...ct/issues/. Then I can fix it there and you can try out a new build.

I must be doing something wrong. I would like to watch some Norwegian TV on NRK from outside of Norway. I understand that only a handful of items are available from my location. So, I set up a VPN (NordVPN) with 'VPN Manager for OpenVPN'. DNS Leak-Test tells me my location is Norway, and my streaming services won't start anymore because "you apparently use a VPN". So, in principle my VPN works and is running. However, when I try to access any restricted/geoblocked shows on NRK, I get the error message "no stream found", which I suspect is because my location is not Norway. (The same happens with the NRK Nett-TV addon from the official repository, btw). The content that is freely available starts without issues, so I can rule out a general problem with the addon.

It works fine on my mobile and on my PC, so it's not like NRK just bans NordVPN entirely.

In Retrospect under General I have set the "Geo Location" to Norway, but it doesn't make a difference. Is there something else I am missing? Or is it simply not possible to watch geoblocked TV on Retrospect?

Here's the kodi.log: https://paste.kodi.tv/tesonademe.kodi
and the retrospect.log: https://paste.kodi.tv/pexacoxela.kodi
OS: LibreELECT 12.0.0
Kernel: Linux 6.6.28
Retrospect: Version 5.7.13, installed via the Kodi Add-on repository

Your logs are not debug logs so they won't provide the correct information. But besides that, Retrospect does not provide any means of circumventing geo restrictions. Even with a VPN enabled, Retrospect might still try to play those blocked streams, whereas an app might playback other (eg. lower quality) streams. What stream are you trying to play?

Can I remind everyone of our VPN Policy (wiki) - specifically that we do not permit conversations around circumventing geo-blocking. Not here, please.

That is exactly what I responded. The only thing that might be the case is that NRK.no has a specific stream (lower quality for instance) that can is allowed to be played outside the country. However, I might not select it. So that is why I wanted to double check.

Oh, I see. I'm sorry. I was looking at the wrong places when I searched for why it might not work then (as in: I tried finding something related to VPNs not being allowed, but clearly I did not do a good enough job).

As far as I can see all the content that is free to stream outside the country plays correctly, and all content that doesn't play is indeed restricted.
Anyway, here's the debug log, just in case: https://paste.kodi.tv/sihavimaxe.kodi

Yes, so the error I can see is: "For å se dette i EØS må du logge på og bekrefte at du er bosatt i Norge med BankID". So it works if you log in to the app/site and have verified your account. But currently I don't support a log in option for NRK.no, so that is why it won't work on Retrospect.
