Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows
(2024-07-08, 02:02)tiben20 Wrote: its noted ill look into it. I didnt know ffdshow was still used in 2024. Fyi a big part of the code when i upgraded it to the new kodi standards i converted a big part of the code that was not that complex and some part i commented out to fix later. The pvr i commented out, i remember having commented external filters and some other stuff. So just like you did talk about it ill fix it when i have time.
ps: i slowed down development due to vacation

no worries we are waiting since 2017 for a new version so a couple of month more do not really matter. SVP can use the AviSynth Filter aswell but again using external filters.

One more here that would use the player with SVP, being able to watch any video at 60 fps is a real marvel.

As colleague Nabazul says, we have been waiting for an update for a long time, so there is no rush, always grateful for your dedication tiben20, enjoy the holidays well deservedly Smile

for sam 404 and nabazul i started finishing every todo i left over when converting to the new kodi. This include what you need for svp. Going one by one. The only thing you need is adding ffdshow to the graph right?

Hello Tiben20, from the svp team they tell me the following:
Chainik Wrote:You should really tell tiben20 that ffdshow is NOT a filter that SVP wants now.
Avisynth Filter / Vapoursynth Filter are those.

So as long as the filter is in the graph it should work?

I never managed to get kodi and svp work with avisynth but apperantly it is the better solution. Not sure what you mean by "filter is in the graph" but from the svp wiki it states for DSPlayer 17:
Quote:Configure with AVSF
Click on Filters management, choose Media rules and Filters configuration
Click on Filters configuration -> Add new filter... -> System filters list, choose AviSynth Filter, click on Filter type and choose Extra Filter, then close this dialog
Switch back to Filters management -> Internal filters
Click on Extra external filter and choose AviSynth Filter (avisynth_filter) from the list

the graph is what you add the filters to in directshow for the rendering. Ok ill do some test and ill figure it out

I would not call it mpcvr because i took the base of mpcvr and highly modified it and made it built in kodi. Im on summer break at the moment i will start to work again on it with a fresh mind at the end of the summer.

I'm guessing no, but can the new DSPlayer version handle BD ISOs like regular Kodi now can?

@tiben20

Hello. I read somewhere you were on summer break and after that you will continue your work. Looking forward to it. Will there be support for madVR and its future and maybe add Dolby Vision and HDR10Plus support also? That would be a dream come true Smile

Super excited to see this Feel free to share a donations/contributions link @tiben20, I'd love to pitch in.

In the mean time, I'm seeing a very odd issue. It appears the network stack for any HTTPS / CURL driven activity is totally broken. Browsing repos/addons doesn't work at all. Working around that and manually installing addons like Plex/Plexmod/PM4K results in similar issues after the addon launches - they also have completely dead networking. Logs just have generic timeout error messages.

Have tested with Win10 1709, Win10 1803, Win10 latest build, and Win 11 latest build. On all of them, regular builds of Kodi work fine and the updated DSPlayer fork has the completely dead networking problem.
