I've got a PC that has been running Windows 10 since 2019.

It has HDMI output, which goes to my Roku TV.

The Roku TV has an Optical Audio Output that goes to my LG Soundbar.

Whenever I play videos through Kodi, the sound is fine. I'm no audiophile, so I don't know if it is missing that "je ne sais pas" (I don't know).

But, I have no audio if I go to Amazon or Netflix.

This has been happening since 2019, but I am currently running Kodi v21.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a solution?

It may be old, but post #10 is good advice in this case. No audio with app Netflix or app Amazon Prime (you are not streaming them from Kodi?) when hooked to an optical input soundbar, suggests a decoding problem with the soundbar or TV.
