Ok so the media info confirms the export is only 8 bit, although that is unusual in my experience to use 8 bit in conjunction with Profile 5.2 but it seems I made an incorrect assumption. Unfortunately I don't know that software at all to help you set a lower profile.

Yes, in MediaInfo txt there is 8 bit.
But when I export to H.264 I don't set that profile, Edius 11 it sets it automatically.

Just noticed, maybe it's here where the Profilo dropdown is, other than the shown Main what are the other options there?

I finally discovered the mystery.
Something that could have been normal, I passed off as abnormal. I was exporting without having chosen the NVIDIA Option in the Export Pad.
See pic.
These were my real problems.

About exporting to H.264:
I think that by exporting with the NVIDIA option, Shield TV found its own codec.

About exporting to H.265:
But how could I think that by exporting without NVIDIA, the export could take 20 times longer?

I thought that Edius 11 had a problem, but the problem is that exporting with only the processor, Edius 11 takes 20 times longer.
It's incredible but true.
That's all!!!

Does your PC have a Nvidia GPU? as I believe those Nvidia options simply mean it will offload the encoding to the hardware encoder in a Nvidia GPU via NVDEC, that's why it's faster as the encoding process is being accelerated by the GPU hardware since software encoding on the CPU will nearly always be slower. Intel also has something similair called Intel Quick Sync so encoding program can take advange of the Intel hardware encoder on the GPU.

It is right what you are writing. Anyway, yes my PC has a NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1080Ti.

Now I'd like to tell you something strange. Wink

I'm using NVIDIA Shield TV (I think  2017), Kodi and a 65" Sony Bravia TV to watch documentaries I made in UHD with professional equipment. I never watch TV on it.
So I'm careful about the quality of the video image.
I've been having some problems with color for a while now. Let me explain: sometimes I see the videos well, but sometimes I notice that they don't have the original color.
In fact, they are sometimes a little faded, you can see a bluish haze and slightly less contrasted. I repeat, not always, but depending on the days I use the Shield TV.
But I'm not sure what all this depends on: maybe the TV, maybe the Shield TV.
What do you think I can do to check what it depends on?
THANKS!

I am really not sure. Maybe make sure it's not HDR video being played as SDR or other way round, and perhaps make sure correct colour space is used, so BT/Rec709 for SDR and BT/REC2020 for HDR. So maybe some times something is not matched all the way through the chain of devices.

If the colour is shifted slightly blue and a little faded - that sounds like a TV viewing mode issue possibly - as different viewing modes will subtly change the colour rendition.  Has your TV been calibrated?

For some reason it could be your Sony TV is sometimes switching viewing mode. As I don't have a Sony TV now (I've switched to an LG OLED) , and don't speak Italian I don't think I can help much further.

If the video looks really terrible - then it could be HDR vs SDR stuff as others have said.

@FoxADRIANO Your workflow is all Rec 709 SDR isn't it?  (I know you were looking at shooting 10-bit Log at one point - but your grading and export are all in the Rec 709 SDR domain aren't they?)

Also some TVs have a setting where they change the display mode based on the ambient light level in a room - so if there is bright light in the room the settings change compared to if the room is dark at night.  Worth checking if those are enabled or disabled.

Yes, I'm editing 10bit clips in SDR. My TV woks well.
I think there is a problem about settings wirh Shield TV.
I'm finishing a work, then I will export again.
I will evaluate the Shield TV configuration and then post here tomorrow. For now, thanks for your important suggestions.

I haven't seen the mediainfo because I not going to download files from someones Dropbox, if you wish to share something like that you should use https://pastebin.com/

I think those are @FoxADRIANO's timeline/project settings in Edius, the NLE they are using, rather than their export settings.

However if that's the case then @FoxADRIANO - your project/timeline is 2160p25 - but you're exporting in 1080p50?  There's no need to export higher than 1080p25?  Or are the 1080p50 files exported from a different project?

If your TV and Nvidia Shield TV show the same files with different looks and you haven't made any changes on the Shield TV - the finger points more towards the TV than the Shield TV in my experience - unless you keep changing output video settings on the Shield TV etc.

Is the Shield TV always connected to the same HDMI input? On Sony TVs the stored picture settings are different for each input - so if you move the Shield TV from HDMI 1 to HDMI 2 you can't expect the same picture quality unless HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 have exactly the same manual settings set.  If you are using your Sony 65" for critical viewing it is worth having it calibrated by a qualified person.

We used to have a Sony Bravia 49XF9005 and I think that the default colour temperature was very blue - I think one of the Warm settings were where we ended up, and obviously we switched all the digital processing off and removed the sharpness. (No MotionFlow, No Reality Creation, No Contrast Enhancement, No Noise Reduction etc. etc.).

I'm working with Panasonic GH6 in 4K, 50p, 4:2:2, 10-I, L.
My Edius 11 (latest version) is configured well.
My projectS on Edius timeline are only UHD and I export always to H.265/HEVC, PROFILE MAIN 10.
