I have a Synology NAS and am running a Plex server on said platform. I have a raspberry pi 5 and have Ubuntu running on it. I loaded the Kodi
application and was wondering if this will play movies from my local Plex? It seems to want to go out to the Internet. That's not what I want to do.
Or should I load a plex client on my pi5?

What is the best client to use, besides a web browser?

Why not try LibreELEC on your Pi and just add smb sources?

I'd heartily recommend the addon PM4K. Google is your friend. With it you have the option of setting up path mapping for when you're using this client on your local network.
