New Problems

I've had many problems pop up recently...most are network related.

I updated to XBMC-SVN_2009-09-23_rev23095-T3CH, assuming it was due to a four month old SVN I'd been using.

When I try to ftp into the xbox, it works only 1 of 10 times, maybe. That's the same with a crossover cable OR through my router. If it does connect, most of the time it says that I'm in "Emergency FTP" mode or something. The problem is that there is little to no connectivity even if it does connect to FTP. I'm unable to navigate around the filesystem, it inevitably times out.

Similar problems with adding movies to the library. When I select "Movie Information", the box freezes for twenty seconds or more, regardless of the scraper selected. If it does make it into the dialog box, downloading a thumbnail or fanart takes even longer, if it downloads at all. I've got a pretty speedy connection, but these downloads max out at 15kbs.

It's literally driving me nuts as I use the Xbox as my HTPC and use it everyday for ALL my tv viewing. Any ideas?

It returns

220 XBMC emergency recovery console FTP

and

Response: 425 Can't open data connection.
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing
Response: 421 No-transfer-time exceeded. Closing control connection.

Angry:mad::mad::mad:Angry

Why would it be in emergency recovery console? Nothing changed!Huh

Edit: Actually, most of the time, it won't even do that.

I would suggest doing a complete fresh install with this release. I found my build was very slow when I updated to this and the library simply vanished. Once I done a fresh install everything is perfect and I have to say I love the new media flagging support worked perfectly using PM3HD. Also my library of 233 movies scanned in less then 15 mins which using nfo's of course. Truly amazing thank you Arnova Big Grin

Just committed another patch that should help video db upgrade issues from older SVN builds...
