Do you have a source in XBMC named Volumes ?
you can try : http://<xbmc_IP>:<port>/xbmcCmds/xbmcHttp?command=GetShares(video) to get the list
XWMM is scanning the entire drive because of that( I think).
Any way, thanks for reporting this. I think I will remove the auto-parsing feature and make it manual to prevent XWMM to scan unnecessary folders.
Any suggestions on this ?

Maybe let the user select his / her Movie source?
Or don't examine the 'Volumes' one. (so a single '/Volumes/')
