It is an actual app pulling info from xbmc. I say prototype as in not finished/expiremental interface/layout. It is fully operational with xbmc, it also controls my lights, directv, stereos, tv's ect.
I only show the preliminary media interface in the YouTube video.
the app is iViewer from command fusion

Hi fiasco, very nice work. Your prototype looks very promising. I would love to buy a iPad exactly for this kind of remote application.I guess
you know that there is a XBMC remote control already availbale for iPhone . I don't know how it works on a iPad.
How do you control the rest of your house e.g. the lights, tvs ... I mean how do technically switch them on /off and which interface do you use ?

My lighting system is lutron radiora2
Eventghost running on my xbmc computer is the automation controller for all my a/v equipment which are connected by USB to Serial cables using rs232 to communicate.
In a week or so I'll post a vid of a walkthrough in my house operating the different systems. Unfortunately the only video camera I have is the iPhone.

First off, these look great guys - keep up the good work!
Secondly, you've got me very interested in how to control AV devices over USB/RS232 via Eventghost. I'm running XBMC on an Acer Revo paired with an Arcam AV350, and I would love to play about with getting the two to talk via RS232. Do you have links to any resources that might get me started on how to go about this? All sounds very interesting and I'd love to give it a bash!

Depending on the 232 protocol you might just need a globalcache itach rs232
