.CDG Karaoke-files support for music
adding voice to all or at least the front should help the volume.
Reply
ok, i been using the mic feature since it was implemented. i upgraded yesterday to the 04-01 build and all my previously working cdg mp3 files crash xbmc.

the funny (or weird) thing is that if i shut off the mic (xbox communicator) the file start playing just fine. but as soon as i turn it on...it crashes.

any help?

hi,

i update the complete xbmc directory (with new cvs version) every day so what did i forget ?

any other vis expect karaoke works fine...

karaoke is not a vis. delete the xkaraoke.vis file if you still have it.

it is no longer necessary.

darkvamp:

i'm replying here as it could also help others:

you need to go into your xbmc/visualisations folder on your xbox, and remove anything to do with karaoke. it'll likely be named "xkaraoke.vis" and there will likely be a .xml file there as well. mayaswell remove both.

cheers,
jonathan

with the cvs build of 2005-04-09 i have the following problems:

- the visualization are now integrated behind the xbmc banners (project mayem skin iii). the left side is transparent. problem: i can't see the whole cdg text!

- i have connected my mic from xbox music mixer. but there is a small delay from mic to output. not possible to sing a real song Wink i haven't seen any entries to change this.

thank you for answer.

i use the headset and sound quality is really really bad.. is the music mixer mic any better ?

visualization-case was fixed with release of 2005 04 10. you can disable the banners with white key.

sound quality with music mixers mic is not bad, but always to quiet and with delay.

hi,

why not go with the mic volume over 100% in the settings ? that would solve the problem... :o

that is not possible. 100% is the maximum.
