hmmn, it says 2. Vista: Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\xbmc.log but i'm running win 7 and can't find it at all..
in fact, i've run a seach on my entire c:\ for xbmc.log and can't find it. And yes, i did enable debug logging in the option,

Will be in that same location for Win7. Can you actually get to the AppData folder cause you might have to unhide it (its a hidden file).

Paste "%appdata%" (without quotes) in the address bar in explorer and then go to the XBMC folder.

what would i have to do to have XBMC ignore *.!ut, *.md5, *.sfv, *.dat?
how would i make up a regular expression for that and how would i insert it into an .xml file?
