Hi Guys. I'm pretty new to this.
Bought the ATv2, jailbreaked and have 10.09 XBMC installed but having a little choppy RMVB playback.
Is there any improvement in rmvb playback in the nightly version?
Thanks

You should post some media info.
I believe there have been some problems with the RMVB-codec. If you're trying to play HD in RMVB you're bound to end up disappointed for sure. 720p and higher will not play smoothly at all unless a h264-codec is used.

Howday folks, long time XBMC users and loving it on the ATV2 however I've come across a bit of a problem.
I've just bought my second ATV2 today and was forced to go with the latest semi nightly build which is XBMC PRE-11.0 Git:20110623-62171b3 (Jun 23 2011).
This is fine, works great. However, there are differences between this and the official release which I was running on my old ATV2. So I figured the best thing to do was to update to the current nightly on that as well to keep them consistent.
However, after installing it through the same process as I did for my new one I've somehow managed to end up with a different nightly build which is listed as XBMC PRE-11.0 Git:20010618-eedceeb (Jun 18 2011) as most annoyingly doesn't list "Films" and "TV Shows" on the main menu bar (the options don't exist in the skin settings).
So what I've got is:
Living room
iOS 4.2.1
XBMC PRE-11.0 Git:20110623-62171b3 (Jun 23 2011)
Bedroom
iOS 4.1.1
XBMC PRE-11.0 Git:20010618-eedceeb (Jun 18 2011)
I've even tried transferring the "latest_atv2.deb" file to my bedroom ATV2 from the livingroom but it still stays as the same version.
How can I resolve / troubleshoot this? Ideally I just want to completely remove XBMC from the bedroom ATV2 via apt-get uninstall via SSH but i've tried that and it still leaves around files in the /private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/XBMC dir and a reinstall shows the same "old" version number.
Surely running different iOS versions shouldn't be a problem? They're both jailbroken fine I think I'm just not familiar enough with the XBMC install on the device to know what to remove to get a clean install.
