XBMC Live 10.04

Guys, I have a serious issue. I just installed the skin to try it out. I was thumbing through the settings trying to find the Skin menu to add a item to the main menu so I can watch TV. At the very bottom of the Settings menu was an option, I can't remember what it is called. I clicked it and it crashed XBMC. So I found the option to check for upgrades. It said there was an upgrade so I ran it. It upgraded and then needed to restart so I did. Now I can't get the Skin to load. I had a black screen, so I restarted again. Now I have a frozen mouse cursor. WTF? Anyway to switch skins from the command line? I have no idea what to do.

I think you can go into the addons folder and delete the skin.aeonmq.2 folder then start xbmc and it will fall back to confluence.
look in C:\Users\<YOUR USERNAME HERE>\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons

another option is to delete the file ..AppData\Roaming\XBMC\userdata\guisettings.xml to return to default settings for the skin. However this will affect settings for ALL skins.

What you are describing is odd. I've never seen anything like that with MQ2. A reboot is probably not a bad idea too.

I love this skin. I've just installed it on my revo running Openelec and it is really fast and smooth. I need some help on how to show the file manager, I don't know how to show it on Aeon. Also, in media info., how to show the media file location? I could not find this too.

Maybe there is a better solution but this should work.

edit your favourites.xml fie and add the following line:

<favourite name="Filemanager">ActivateWindow(10003)</favourite>

then you can add it to the start menu via MQ2 home screen customization.

You could also assign ActivateWindow(10003) to a custom key if you want.

I have a question about the "shows" menu (not TV shows).
I can't find the way to fill it with my shows. If I add a new source with the movie category scrapper, they end up in the movie library, if I select "none" or "movie clip" they don't show up neither.
I have no other options. What should I do exactly ? Is there a special "shows" scrapper that I need to install ?

in MQ2:

"shows" means "music videos"

in MQ3 he is calling it "Concerts"

Is it possible to increase the contrast in things like the volume control? My TV is in my living room with lots of light and it can sometimes be very hard to see the difference.

Thanks for all your work on this.

I installed the skin on my ATV2 last night. I am running skin under the Lite setting and all basic features are working quite well.

The minor issue is with some scripts. I cannot seem to get the Home Theater Experience script to run. I have downloaded the addon.zip file and installed and configured all the addons.

Also when in the TV or Movies menu and I select background Fanart, I get a script error.

Your thoughts?

Hi,

First of all, Thank you for this is absolutely amazing skin. Great work! Love it.

However, I have one annoying problem with customizing my own menus. I followed this tutorial http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=664...tcount=782 but I always get stuck later on. Here is what I did so far:
1. I created "new smart playlist" called "Asian Cinema"
2. Smart Playlist Rule is: "Find Items where PATH IS H:/Asian Cinema/"
3. I added "add video playlist" called "asian cinema.xsp" in the shortcuts settings
4. "Asian Cinema" is visible properly on home screen menu.

and then things get complicated...
When I enter "Asian Cinema" it shows: "library empty" and "populate it via the videos window in home menu"

so I tried the following:
Home Menu > Videos > Asian CInema > Scan new content/set content
Home Menu > Videos > Playlists > Asian Cinema > Update Library

NOthing changes and "Asian Cinema" doesn't work. I ran out of ideas. I must be doing something wrong but don't know WHAT.

Guys, WHAT am I doing wrong?? I would appreciate any help or most of all step by step solution

I have enabled cover flow and tried multiplex etc..these are the kind of views a want, but when i browse movies i get the file list over the top of fanart, i cant get rid of it or find how to disable it..been trying for hours, its the same for looking at my TV shows...just get this windows explorer type list instead of just banners or covers etc

It doesnt seem to make any difference which i choose..nothing changes..what am i missing here ?? wheres the problem... a pointer would be helpful

Not sure if this is the right topic but going to try anyway.

I've added a remote command that when I press a key it goes straight to the subtitle addon (script.xbmc.subtitles), this way I bypass the option to open the OSD first and then select the subtitle addon. So far all looking good and it works fine, however I do have one small issue.

When access the subtitle addon through the remote it pauses the video and brings up the subtitle addon, however when it pauses I do get a huge overlay saying 'PAUSED'. This way the overlay is above the subtitle addon and makes it diffiicult to read which subtitles it has found.
But when I open the addon via the OSD menu it still pauses the video and brings up the subtitle addon but there you don't see the huge overlay saying it's paused.

Is there a certain command / argument whenever i bring up the subtitle addon that it doesn't show they paused overlay?

Reason I suspects it's related to MQ2 is because when I open it via the OSD menu I dont have this problem and whenever I just pause the video I get the same overlay. I suspect that the creator used some kind of command whenever the subtitle is brought up that it doesn't show the paused overlay.

I have a problem whenever I try to rename a Shortcut under Skin Options->Shortcuts, I am not able to accept a new name. I can write new name, but pressing enter or done on the keyboard doesn't do anything.
This problem is actually everywhere where I get the skin keyboard up.
Have the same problem with MQ3.
To be able to use the enter function I have to go back to Confluence skin.
Hope someone can hel me here, and please excuse my english.
