I made the doodlehead look tv remote-like. Good? bad?

another version. (I don't like this one as much but let me know what you think.)

I was playing around with a Chris Spooner tut the other day and thought why not throw it out there. Thx for the input.

Another Idea I've been playing with. I know it's not a mascot per say, but I might use it on my HTPC anyway.

really like these could you add images around the border to show program lineage and progression?

I'm not too familiar with that but I'd love to learn. Give me some inspiration to look at and some direction and I'll do my best!

Anyone considered impact of a good/bad mascot on getting your XBMC setup "girlfriend-approved"?

Anyway, here is my contribution, just for funsies Smile

as a user of xbmc for 8 years (atleast) i think it would be cool to incorporate in some way an xbox or something that represents that then something that represents the current incarnations (mac, pc, ios, linux) and finally something that represents the future.

Here is my first go round. He is a cute lil guy with a Cat5 Jack at the end of his tail. I plan on adding a bit of color but for right now I think the sillouette looks nice next to the XBMC logo.

I like this, but I think you can lose the cat5 tail, and make it a bit more colourful (as you said). Aside from that, best on I've seen on here - original as hell as well!

Edit: Remember, it's a mascot, not a logo, so it doesn't have to conform to many of the traditional logo restrictions. Have some fun with it!

The head on this looks *very* familiar... Square head, pointed ears, vertical line eyes..... I just can't put my finger on it though. Is it from a cartoonHuh This is going to bug me now.. Oo

Anyway - I think if you ditch the body and clean the face up a bit, it could be something impressive. The curves for the body just look like they are trying too hard. Maybe turn the head into a TV, antenna ears, keep the cool looking eyes. Not sure about the mouth - part like it, part don't..... Eek
@htpc-guy hope it translates well into 3D, eg. a real life mascot Smile
