when i hold down right, it scans through quickly.

if i hold down left, nothing happens though.

this is my second apple remote (returned the other one) and still the same problem!!!

is this a universal problem or is there something i can do to resolve it?

Do what I did and have atv learn you regular remote and then put the atv remote away.

I'm using a MBP, not an ATV.
