in my march 14 cvs build, the partly transparent blue bar at the top of the picture in slide show mode doesn't go away for me. i can display info about the picture and make it go away, but the bar always persists. this has been an ongoing problem for a few months of cvs builds, so i'm not sure if it's a file "left around" from an earlier version or not.

i've looked in the code and see the set_control_hidden(bar_image); in the code, but i can't figure out why this isn't working, and where the bar is coming from in the first place. where do the controls for each window get defined?

any help would be much appreciated!
