Ati Radeon

Hi,

I've installed the XBMC Live on my old computer. Here are the specifications;

Intel Celeron 2.8 GHz,
768 MB Ram
120 GB HDD
Creative Live 5.1 Sound Card

It worked very well until today, with the graphics card nVidia geforce 6200 128 MB. With this card i could see the HD videos so slow (11-12 fps) than i thought that i've to buy a new one. I bought an ATI Radeon 2600 Pro 512 MB AGP and re-installed the XBMC hopefully. Now, if i want to see an any of my videos, the XBMC does restarting, it shows nothing.

And XBMC Menu is with this card slower than nvidia geforce 6200.

What do i have to do to solve this problem? It should have better with the new one, or not?

Thanks...

Any ideas?

I've installed now Windows 7 and the graphic card works well on Win 7 (with HD videos, AERO effects etc). XBMC still shows nothing.

How about turning on DEBUGGING, and generate a log file with specific steps you are doing and what you see. Then PASTEBIN the log so we can look at what the problem may be.
Or ssh to the box and run TOP to see if any processes are running at 100%
or...

Bad guess with no information except "It worked very well until today" that your bios somehow changed and disabled any cpu cacheing.

Return the ATI card and get a newer Nvidia card.
