I tried http://mirrors.xbmc.org/nightlies/osx/xb...r-i386.dmg today on my mac mini os x 10.6.8, and it couldn't connect to my smb-shares anymore.

Just got "connection timed out" each time. Reboot didn't helped. Downgraded to 20110820 release to get it to work again.

Anyone know if there is some major changes in xbmc for smb so I know if I need to find another solution?

Yes, and one of them was me. And I now also got problem on the mac mini.
I was just afraid that they doing some major changing in the smb-part of xbmc. But they maybe just fucked it up a bit.

Is SMB still broken? I tried the 20110830 nightly build update but, same result.

I have being using Dharma 10.1 for now!
