i have an older acer revo that is running perfect. but to get it running perfect i have to use the xbmc-freak images and not the ones off this XBMC site. from my limited knowledge its because the much needed NVIDIA.185_18_14 drivers are not included in the live image off XBMC site, where they are included in the freak version.
the problem is updating the freak version after install causes it to break (not well versed enough in unix to give specifics)
i have tried 3x different ways ive read in others posts to add the NVIDIA.185_18_14 drivers after install of the normal iso off the xbmc site. each way didnt work or resulted in me being unable to launch xbmc.
seeing how i would like to update down the line fresh installs of the freak version isnt an option as that will be a pain. but the question is in a fresh install of the XBMC live cd on an acer revo box can anyone guide me to getting the NVIDIA.185_18_14 driver on there?
