So....
re-reading the thread I'd like to see if I have a handle on what I'll be needing.
What I've seen are solutions like the Adalite strings of LED's that can be connected to an Arduino controller in different zones.
Would i be correct in saying that LED strips like these:
http://www.sparkfun.com/products/10312
Using these connected to a proper arduino controller and perhaps configuring it properly, each LED is a seperate zone/controlled LED, therefore getting rid of the need to have seperate strips of LED's?
I'm really thankful for anyone that can help take the time to instruct a noob like myself in the most efficient way of accomplishing this with my new HTPC.
