so im looking at a htpc for movies and music
all files will be stored on the htpc, the music files all in FLAC and sent digitally to a Rega DAC and then into my hifi system.

im looking at having xbmc live but not sure how you would then install any drivers to the htpc?

this is what im looking at, i already have spare hdd to use as storage so the 8gb ssd would be for the xbmc, the cost of this is already at £240 and i still havent got a case or psu yet!
i may add blu ray later but to keep the cost down ive left it out.
how does it look?

i would probably go for the 16GB SSD just because its like $10 more and have better read speeds...

i dont think you need a new CPU cooler
the processor you'll use is not powerful...

why the GT430? u need 3D playback?

1600MHz ram, your motherboard supports that?

yeah the 16gb looks a better deal

no i dont need 3d play back i went for the GT430 as it was recommended, what would suggest as an alternative?

the mobo im unsure about aswell as its £135 does that seem a bit over the top? it does include the Atom D525 Dual-Core Processor though.

i dont use Linux, never will, but to my knowledge,
Linux comes with drivers so, it should be automatic
