Today when I was going through the movies, I think I may have pressed a button or done something. Now the movie 500 days of Summer is missing from the "movies" view. It shows up when I search the name of the movie, but when I select the movie, it simply returns back to the library view of movies. I can also see the Actors name if I search in the "Actors" list. But when I select their names, the movie's name does not show up.

I removed my entire movies source and rescraped them again. still no use

Any idea what caused it and how to get that movie back on the list?

Assuming you have checked that the movie is not somehow deleted.
Try navigating to it in File View/Mode. Press either i or c and look for the option to: refresh, rescan, update, set manually, choose thumbnail or something like that. See if you can get it to show up again that way.

Oops .... this is so stupid of me.

The view is set for only unwatched movies. I think I may have pressed the W button accidentally and it got off the view. Got it back again.
