The first time I installed XBMC Live and found out the Boxee remote didn't work, I found this solution on Google:

I made a fresh install of XBMC Live yesterday and noticed the problem was back, XBMC crashes when you press any key on the remote. For some reason, the fix above doesn't work anymore.

I'm pretty lost when it comes to Linux so finding a solution on my own won't happen. I've tried scouring Google for a solution but it seems like nobody has this problem (or nobody has the Boxee remote).

Anyone know how to fix this?

I'm using the latest stable XBMC Live (10.1) on a Shuttle XS35GTV2.

I am with you bud. I have Ubuntu 10.04 minimal with Lubuntu-desktop installed and my Boxee remote bonks out XBMC anytime a key is pressed. Total bummer. I can't figure it out. I plugged the Boxee remote into my desktop running Ubuntu 11.10 and all of the key presses are fine. I wish someone had some insight on this issue because I'm totally lost here.

I have the same problem with Ubuntu 10.04.03 LTS. Where i could find a fix ? ....
