I meant a xbmc.log.
This is found in the home directory of the user running xbmc: ~/.xbmc/temp/xbmc.log
Please supply the full log, with debuggin enabled.
Open xbmc, enable debugging, enable vaapi, play a movie, close xbmc.
You can get the tearing improved by enabling fglrx tearfree option in catalyst control center.
