Hi all,

since I am using a Touchscreen for my XBMC I am not very happy about the missing support in controlling XBMC via touchscreen in several themes.

What about the following:

A setting in XBMC allows the user to set a flag that a Touchscreen is used. If this flag is set theme designer could ask for it and include specific icons or gestures in their themes for touchscreens.

The most common problem is, for example, that you are able to navigate with a touchscreen into the 10th subdirectory or into a detailed descripton of a video... but once there you are lost since you won't be able to return to upper level without a mouse, keyboard or remote control.

On the other hand XBMC core could, if the touchscreen flag is set, display an transparent overlay with the most common commands such as

- 1 level up
- return to main screen
- scroll up and down

Just my two cents... Maybe there are some others who would like to have such features implemented. If I where a coder I would have implemented that already
