It doesn't matter how you set up your repo. Rollback is working if there's an older version of the addon in addons/packages. So if you have 1.0 and update to 1.1, you can do a rollback to 1.0 because it's still in packages.

As `Black said. This means You can go back to addon You already have installed before.

Strange I've got loads of older versions of various addons but none of them allow rolling back.

you obviously also have to disable auto update as well
