Move TV Show Library onto a New Drive
#1
My media hard drive was getting rather full, so I bought myself a new drive to transfer my TV shows onto.

I've moved the files over and I assumed that I could simply edit the "TV Shows" source and it would know where to look for the files, but every time I try to play from the library I get a message saying the file no longer exists and asks if I want to remove it from the library.

My PC is not currently connected to the internet so I can't simply remove everything in the old library and rescan. Is there a way I can point my existing library at the files in the new location?

Thanks in advance.

Export library as single file. Open the resulting .xml file in a text editor. Find/replace old drive path with new drive path. Import library.

Yep you can, i justt did this aswell, , export your library to a single file, and edit the xml file. i use notepad ++ and i used replace all ( V:\Tvshows) to ( T:\Tvshows) save it. and re-import the library. no problems.
