I don't know why, but xbmc now keeps pausing to buffer.
It's 720p mkvs. It all used to work flawlessly and nothing has changed so don't know what's going on.
How can I get to the bottom of this issue?
The xbmc pc is a purpose built i3 based system with ssd main drive.
Connected to the server via wired LAN. The server is a beast of a machine. I7 980x based.
Any help appreiciated.
Thanks
Amit

I would try to do a hard reset of the router and the computers attached to it and see if it fixes it. Something else you could try is to swap in a different network cable just in case the ones you are using got damaged some how.

How is the speed if you copy a file from server to client?
Also ping the server from the client (and vice versa) and see if you have any packet drops.
What speed is your network cards? both server and client, also what Operating system is on client and server?

Yeah that network copy does appear to be slow.
Copy a 1.3gb file to the desktop is reporting as 28mins estimated to copy.
I have an Asus ru56 router, both machines have on board gigabit LAN. Wired connection and both running win 7
How can I diagnose/fix a network issue?

Ok, just switched my old router in and it's all working again.
What could be wrong with my router? I hadn't changed any settings
