Where do fallback cover art screengrabs come from?
#1
So I've got a few movies which I've added to the library which have no coverart. Instead of showing a default picture they show a screengrab from the video itself. This is acceptable, but I can't figure out where those images come from. I want to actually use them as fallback fan art if no fanart can be retrieved (a much more common occurrence than missing coverart. Is this possible?

XBMC generates the thumbnails and stores them in

C:\Users\YOU\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\userdata\Thumbnails\Video

The thumbnails aren't named in any chronological order so it will probably to take you eternity to find the one you want. It will also be resized, and look very pixelated when blown up to a high resolution.

You're much better off either making your own fanart from screengrabs or searching google images.

Yeah, I was hoping for some automated way to tell it to use the generated image, not have to find and rename the .tbn files to fanart.
