I was breaking it to him gently The "official" Xonar HDA thread at AVScience is 313 pages and it's not pretty. It's a great card if you need analog out on multiple channels, but has been essntially replaced for $35 with a pure digital path via HDMI with the AMD cards Bluray refers to.
