i was having the same problem a lot of people here have posted about. when i would click to launch a video stream from many of the streaming media sites on the scripts like launchbrowser, ooba, gamespot etc.
it would download the cache, do some things and then no video would ever start. clicking again would lock up the system.
i searched the forums and came up empty, having the newest build and everything it finally turned out to be something very simple...
check the codecs folder! many of the packaged releases floating around have these stripped out for some reason (file size?)
as soon as i added them in it worked perfect!
look in the system/mplayer/codecs folder.
there should be a bunch of dll's etc. if not, then thats your problem.
