I'm using XBMC LIVE 10.1 from a USB drive for a club at my school. The projector in the room has a native resolution of 1280x800, but because of the way things are wired, the computer running XBMC doesn't receive any EDID data from the projector. Because of this, XBMC assumes the worst possible case and will only run at 320x240 or 640x480.
