I dit what you said, created a file named migrationcheck.nfo into /storage/.xbmc/addons/script.artistslideshow with content 1.6.0
Seems not to fix the issue.

I tried deleting the addon, then reinstalling, creating the file migrationcheck before the first error appears, still error.
I tried changing language from french to english, and character set from 'default' to 'western europe' with no effect.

I can see errors related to extrafanart directory in the debug log, is there any chance it's related ?

Ok forget that, I misunderstood the folder you described me. I just created the file migrationcheck.nfo into /storage/.xbmc/userdata/addon_data/script.artistslideshow and this is much better !
