Possible to to use ext usb HDD connected to Airport Extreme Basestation as a source?
#1
I was curious if I can connect my external portable HDD (USB) to my Airport Extreme Base Station (Airdisk) and add it as a source to use in XBMC Eden 11.0? If so, can someone show me how to do this? Does it use AFP or SMB?

I have this exact setup so can tell you that it is possible. If you add a source like you normally would and choose the "zeroconf browser" option then as long as the disk is on the same network then it will let you connect via either AFP or SMB. SImply click on the disk name (with your choosen protocol), then through to the folder you want to add and hit ok and go through the rest of the setup like you normally would.
