The above BDMV file system is the way kodi can handle it without problems (+additional stuff, .actors, trailer, extrafanarts...) and just as it is storaged in my db
Media Companion editing only possible with a fake/placebo video file, or i edit the .nfo myself

I know VIDEO_TS is more than outdated... i suppose that it works at all is more kind of a Legacy support.
Admittedly, of course I thought "if any other media player can show the correct runtime why not Kodi too"
