Just a few notes that may help some of you out.
1) If you are backing up a custom folder the addon creates a directory in the backup archive called "custom_xxxxxx". The x's are a hash created from the directory path. Your files should be in there. If they aren't I need a debug log. I will not speculate on some particular thing that might be happening without looking at the details of what is actually happening.
2) Regarding the http paths. I got mine to work by just moving the restore points in to a directory on the webserver. As an example the URL was "http://domain.com/backups/". Under the "backups" folder are the folders created by the backup addon like 201504040400. When you go to restore within the addon you should see a list of restore points like normal. If your web server does not support directory listing you'll see nothing. Try looking at the directory in a browser and make sure you aren't getting an http error.

Hi Rob,
Any idea which FTP clients will work to save the backups to. Dropbox, gdrive, media fire, mega etc?

Hi rob
Yeh mate a message say it's done would be good. I understand what you mean by the background bar bit if on the normal view it could pop olio thsts would be good
Ref to the slash.
Yeh I put the slash it does work now I have managed to make it install. It's just when I do it from
Local storage it installs ok. If I do it from my webspace it install the file in user_data but adds addon data.user_data before the normal plugin.program.super favourites
Is it possible to make it overwrite any files. So if I restore a file an it has changed to the files that are in my machine it would overwrite them not just add them.
Thanks mate

The program only overwrites/adds files. It's just a straight copy, no comparison is done. Whatever exists in the restore folder gets copied to the system. If there is an existing file it gets replaced. Does this make sense?
As far as your other issue I can't determine what is happening there without a debug log. Definitely seems like an issue with the file path being created but I haven't seen this happen before in any of my tests. The fact that it's an http source really shouldn't matter but maybe it is doing something wierd.

Hi rob
Thanks for your reply again
Ha ha yeh it's defo doing weird things I can take screen shot if u can post or maybe I can add it somewhere post a link. I will try do a debug log file for u too.
I've no idea why it's doing it I agree with u shouldn't matter as I have another tool that does similar run from my website seems ok. That tool only adds to a current list your see. So if I have a super favourites list an I install a backup an a file name has changed mine will only add to the list not over write. I fully understand what you mean an hopefully if I can sort this small issue it should be ideal.
Again thanks for your time to reply it's much appreciated

I manually back up my entire firetv kodi setup. I use the llama / classic tv method for launching kodi on the firetv. I'm trying to back up my llama event settings but can't seem to find that file. Anybody know where the llama event settings file is located?
As an aside, find and grep doesn't work in adb shell. Is there an easier method for locating files in adb?
Thanks.
