I have problem with backup, in the settings I set-up to backup everything, but when I look to the backup folder, add-ons, add-ons data, funart... are not backup, just database and configuration files. I uninstalled add-on several times.
Where's the problem?
Thanks

In the add-on settings you can set additional folders to back up. Use those to back up the other bits.

I have about 1500 movies perfectly scraped with all the artworks, what is the best option to choose in the add-on settings to restore everything upon restoration?

Sorry if this has been covered already, but is there a way to utilise Backup add-on as a "sync" between devices? E.g. Device 1 runs backup in backup mode, devcies 2,3,4 run backup in download mode, and download/restore the backup as and when it's changed?

One question and one issue I would like to get some help with please:
1- In the backup options, the second entry "Add-on data" is unchecked by default. Is that because this is not needed and can be restored by the add-on after a restore, in which case it is not mandatory for a full recovery and therefore disabled to save space and time on a backup? Or is it required if we wish to be able to do a full recovery and get back to where we were? If its not really necessary, as the default setting of Disabled would seem to imply, then I don't want to be taking the extra time and storage space and will keep it off. But if having it disabled means not being able to do a full recovery, or a much more difficult one, then I guess I will turn it to Enabled.
2- When using the Browse Path function to pick the location where to store the backup, the NFS option is not working correctly for me. I choose NFS and then get a little spinner and nothing happens. This happens elsewhere in Kodi (beyond just the Backup add-on) so that doesn't surprise me. However in other places I can then click on the "nfs://" that it leaves me after selecting NFS and then manually entire my IP and path which then works. However with this Add-on I cannot edit the "nfs://" default it puts in there. If I try to click on it to edit it it just does the spinner and nothing again. How can I edit it so that it points to the right path so I can back up to my PC folder? Even if it means manually editing the setting in some XML file? Otherwise I am stuck backing up to USB.
Thank you for this super-handy add-on!

I've got Kodi on a Raspberry Pi (actually, it's LibreElec but that shouldn't matter).
I installed the Backup addon on my Pi and backed up to a USB.
On my Amazon Fire TV (2nd gen), I also installed the backup addon. I plugged in the USB stick and I get a pop up telling me that it's been recognized.
Now, when I open the addon and choose "Restore", a panel pops up with the name "Backup - Backup Folder Name" but there's nothing in there to select. I thought it should show the file on the USB stick?

When you try to restore a backup and the backups are stored on a remote SMB location the backup zip file fails to be copied to the cache directory.
When viewing the logs you can see the target has double / for every place holder so instead of C:/folder/folder/folder/file.ext it is trying to target c://folder//folder/folder//file.ext
If you copy the zip file you want to restore from to the cache directory manually you are able to run the restore command properly.

I have all my backups on an SMB directory, and haven't had any problem so far. Just did a clean install of SPMC the other day, and it restored just fine from the remote backup.
