xbmcbuntu working optimally on Intel i3 2125.
#1
Hello
Is the xbmcbuntu fully working on a intel i3 2125 setup. I have read that there are problems with the drivers for the hd3000 gpu. I choose the xbmcbuntu, For the quick start op and high petformance, with low cpu usage. Would i be better of with a windows setup, booting directly to xbmc instead of explorer. Using a intel i3 2125 with 4 gb ram?
Thanks

It's not the same thing, but I have a W520 Laptop with a i7 Processor. While it does have an NVidia Video card on board I can select the HD3000GPU and it doesn't appear to have any issues. I would point out though the setup is NOT the same. This was on a flashdrive (Live Boot) and Ubuntu does see the NVidia card.

However, you may want to just look at spending $30 and getting a video card with HDMI output anyway. I have a full Media Center with a AMD 939 2.4Ghz (about seven years old) running Ubuntu and XBMC and used an $25 NVidia GeForce 210 Video card. Have had zero issues so far.
