@Mrmills I've reused episodes panel - so there's actually 9 items and it's a global setting with other home panel settings - more radio buttons

Will look into resizing panel, accept that different sizes don't look too cool when scrolling through main menu.

@joe.wilson i too like the panels as they are its just the music one is a little wider than the rest.. and i would prefer that the albums didnt have the cdcase but instead something like the addoncase

Mine often displays the 0'c with the line through it too - most noticeably after a skin change or on boot up - normally sorts itself out within five minutes.

Keep thinking I should disable it as seeing "11'C Rain" and "15'c Thunderstorms" pretty much all this summer is depressing

Where I was born there was plenty of thunderstorms after a hot day, and sometimes hail the size of baseballs would follow.. yipes. running for cover, they would break windshields in cars. Its a great feeling to get that sudden down pour and thunder going when the humidity has been so high, makes me feel like dancing in it..

Quick question to anybody interested - Arising from previous warbeling post and git issue#66 raised by savkin_k - how many users actually change languages while using XBMC ?

Concert panel overlays the playing music, the panel needs to be the same size as the movie
panel and that would fix the problem, why its bigger I don't know. even with thumb views much
like the the tv episodes it would look nicer and not overlap.

BUGS:

#1 - The "RIGHT LIST" doesn't show rating, AND the "Directors" overlaps on the year when the Director text is too big. For Matrix where its ANDY Wachowski and LANA WACHOWSKI. There's not enough room, and it spans on top of the 1999. And the word: "Year".

For now I just disasbled it alltogether because it looks silly.

The background in MEIDA INFO is very dark, like like the media info default in 10, it's far too dark. What files need to be edited to make the box on the media info lighter so I can see more of the background (fanart)?

Looks like you don't have many movies in your collection, to change it from
saying random movies , I believe you will have to edit the information in the language
file. In the setting you can change the transparency of the panels from 0% to 100%.

First of all, I'm not talking about the NOW PLAYING info. I clearly said that its a LIBRARY VIEW that has the problem with the overlapping.

Second of all, yes I checked the settings, yes the option is there, and yes it's CLEARLY MARKED AS HOME SCREEN TRANSPARENCY. I'm not looking for that. As I said before, I am looking to reduce the transparency of the MEDIA INFO on the FAN ART VIEW of Movies. Where do I do this, what line, what file

I have to keep hitting the back button four times, just to get back where I was.

It didn't work like this in XBMC v10. In XBMC my playlists off homelists, took me back home with the back button.

Not sure if its XBMC v11 messing up or the mod........

Dude, is there not a home button right next to the back button ? Try clicking it! Still awaya ATM so can't deal with the rest of your posts also I'm allergic to posts with capital letters and avoid them.

In every picture you posted there is a home button and a back button and there is settings to remove those buttons if you so choose too. they are useful for those that use ATV or dont have a home button on their remote. There is nothing messing up this mod both buttons do as they are suppose to.. the back button goes back 1 step at a time, the little house takes you all the way back to main HOME.. This is not a bug, this is a feature. Before people come on the forum and start crying bug, bug , bug, which shouldn't be done on here but on the git, they should be asking how something works first. Example... How do I get back to the main menu from here? And are you sure your setting where not written over when updating XBMC to EDEN or FRODO whichever one you are using?

Hope everything is alright on your end.. Just remember you can't please everyone, sometimes ya got to please yourself. I think the project is going on course and is turning out wonderfully. BUG #3 - "BACK BUTTON" not doing what's expected.

I have to say that was a bit confusing when I first started using Eden - it's really odd the way back is now really "up menu structure" and not "return to previous". However mapping the "Home" button to my remote control ( as detailed here http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Add...e_Mod#Home - assuming your remote control is basically a keyboard like mine ) got rid of that annoyance.


With regards to the transparency where the synopses is shown - this is actually a PNG image with alpha transparency called "ContentPanel.png" which is inside the ColourName.xbt file. Alas you can't extract these, however the source is available on git.

So to make your own version you will need to follow the following steps (in the following example I will edit the Orange version - choose your favourite colour scheme as a base.

To make it easier to reload the Skin as you make changes you may wish to follow the instructions on editing your keymap at
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=92965 - the F5 one is the key one.

Go to https://github.com/freakylinuxguy/conflu.../downloads and click "Download as Zip" (or tar.gz if you are a Linux person) - be aware it's a ~130MB file and extract it to a folder on your computer.

While that is downloading you will also need the Colours and Background files so grab these files and save them to your XBMC

Please note your paths will inevitably differ - X:\ is my home directory on my Linux based media centre when viewed from windows - on Linux it's /home/xbmc/

Colours
Save the colours XML file you can download from https://raw.github.com/freakylinuxguy/co...Orange.xml to -> X:\.xbmc\addons\skin.confluence.lite.mod\colors
Background
Save the image you can download from https://github.com/freakylinuxguy/conflu...Orange.jpg to X:\.xbmc\addons\skin.confluence.lite.mod\colors

Now go the the freshly extracted src download and navigate to freakylinuxguy-confluence-lite-themes-src-6b50278\media\Themes\Orange

In this folder are all the images - the key one being ContentPanel.png which you can edit (I just opened in Paint.net, change the opacity of the background layer and saved as a 32 bit png with the same file name).

Now you have edited the file(s) you need to create the xbt file with TexturePacker (for our resident expert skin devs, is it possible to skip this step somehow?)

The forum thread at http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=92965 has a download link to the required TexturePacker and an example bat file, change the paths as appropriate and name the output file Orange.xbt

Copy this to X:\.xbmc\addons\skin.confluence.lite.mod\colors\

Reload the Skin

Now go to System - Appearence - and change theme and colours to Orange and wait for it to reload.

When you go to the relevant screen you will get a more subtle background, such as

Apologies for any spelling mistakes - if one is going to catch you out its the spelling of "Colour" - in all the path names it needs to be the American variant (color).
