I have XBMC running on a windows 7 HTPC, which is running 24/7. Currently I have a remote desktop session which runs iTunes, sickbeard and utorrent. I have just built an Unraid server which will take over torrenting duties and running sickbeard, but I still need a way to download podcasts and (wi-fi) sync my iPhone.

I was just wondering if anyone else runs iTunes on the same computer as XBMC and how they handle it taking focus from XBMC?

I would also like to get to the point of not needing to keep the XBMC box on 24/7 and sleeping it when I don't need it so if you have any other suggestions on how I could move iTunes off that computer I would love to hear them.

I do run both on os x. I have activated wake on lan to avoid insomnia.

Do you have any issues with iTunes taking focus from XBMC? I get a lot of errors when my iPhone or iPad try and connect over wi-fi.

I don't sync with htpc but with my notebook instead. Itunes on htpc just serves content to ios devices and is running minimized.
