I removed the previously scraped folder,
put on debugging, and then saw UScraper was being updated as I was doing that.
I added just the beatles folder to the library and the biography info WAS scraped...
go figure.

Hehe, I have some clues, at least about what happened today:

In order to introduce multilanguage biogs from theaudiodb.com, during the transition period we broke the API at around 15:30 CET today. You had the issue much earlier I believe. Then the scraper should have updated itself much earlier to accomodate the new API calls, in theory at latest until 16:30. So today I think it was an unfortunate coincidence and actually I forgot to mention this as I was already doing other things. However, this doesn't explain at all why did you have problems before 15:30 CET.

Anyway, it's good it is working now and by the way, with this update you have the last.fm option for biogs back on as well. Nevertheless, it would be more community friendly if you were adding your missing artists to theaudiodb.com instead of switching to last.fm biogs.

aah, cool, ok.
well earlier I was on my main computer, which had a scraped library for a year or so... and perhaps all the beta versions of v12 were a bit corrupt... I dont know, but great that LastFM is back, I will revert to Universal Scraper.
Thanks olympia.
Mark.

I'm now getting a dependencies not met error:

10:57:30 T:3020 DEBUG: Addon metadata.artists.universal requires metadata.common.fanart.tv version 2.1.2 which is not available
10:57:43 T:3020 DEBUG: Addon metadata.album.universal requires metadata.common.fanart.tv version 2.1.2 which is not available

How do I go about resolving this?

Thanks,
Cal.

Ahh, you are on Eden Sad
This explains... I will fix this, but Eden is phasing out, time to upgrade...

Yeah, I've been hitting a few walls with Frodo, so I'm sticking to Eden until I can get Frodo running smoothly.

Thanks for fixing this in Eden. Much appreciated. Once the fix is ready are there steps I need to take to obtain it?

Thanks again,
Cal.

Should be auto-update silently in the background without notification. You can quicken up with force update say in about 2 hours time from now.

Thanks alot that language selection back after last update, but it's still not as good as in Eden.
I personally suffer lack of polish language to select (which I'm sure was available in Eden)
Please, let it work as before.

First of all, many thanks to Olympia for these universal scrapers! So much time saved!

I'm looking through a few of my artists/albums that didn't scrape successfully. One example is "Green Day". From the logs, it appears that this one is incorrectly being associated to the artist "All Day Green".

The scraper search:
http://search.musicbrainz.org/ws/2/artis...&limit=100
yields "All Day Green" at a 100 score and "Green Day" at a 79 score

Whereas a normal web search:
http://musicbrainz.org/search?query=gree...od=indexed
yields "Green Day" at a 100 score and "All Day Green" at a 66 score

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

You could manually update to get the correct artist?
