I would be surprised if XBMC didn't eventually support both chip families for hardware decoding, but I have no idea about what kind of time table to expect. That Exynos SoC can handle software decoding of some codecs in 720 already (I think the same for some Tegra 3 devices, but I suspect the Exynos has more raw CPU power), but software decoding will kill the battery life of a tablet.

It's a shame if they won't have a proper linux distribution, the u2 can make a nice desktop machine.
I think Valve should consider porting some games to arm, ubuntu on arm with steam is dam cheap gaming machine. (my deep and sincere apologize to hardcore gamers, my gaming experience starts and ends with PES).

I noticed there is an exynos test-build for android, but I would prefer a linux-based solution
