Ive just installed MediaElch and have a couple questions. Everything scanned ok, however when I click on XMBC to sync I get Connection timed out in the status. For the XBMC setting, I have localhost and port 8080. Is this right or do I have to change to something else. I also tried the IP address and when I do that it comes across saying connection refused. What should I enter in this field? ANy help will be appreciated.

Ive tried entering: http://127.0.0.1 and port 8080 and the webserver os also enabled in XBMC. Still no luck. Still says Connection timed out.

Im running Gotham on Win 7 64bit.

Please enter just the IP address (no http:// in front) and port 9090. There is a little typo in MediaElchs XBMC Dialog. The web server isn't used but the JSON RPC TCP interface.

what does "retrieve watched status" exactly mean in the xbmc sync settings ?

This will query XBMC for the play count and the last played date of your files and will update your nfos with this values. You need to select the movies (tv shows or concerts) you wish to sync in MediaElch before (right click -> add to synchronization queue).

It seems that the (API of ??) TVDB is down quite often. It would be great when ME would not crash if the TVDB is not available. A simple message would suffice

That's on my todo list but I can't promise that it will make it into version 1.6. There are bigger changes planned for the scraper interfaces (use XML files to allow custom scrapers) but this will not come with 1.6.
