Hi guys I've been playing with the iPad iOS version for a while and could never get the audio to work, today I noticed under setting > general > use side switch to if u have this to lock rotation no matter how much u play with the audio it will always be muted, I turned this option to mute and now audio plays beautifully. Just thought I would report this.

1. unmute
2. switch to lock function
after that you will have audio and the switch controls the rotation lock. Known issue with some ios versions and unrelated to xbmc.
